K-6th Grade Flag Football 2024 - Fall 2024

This is a recreational flag football league for boys and girls in Kindergarten-6th grades that attend or reside in the Bethel School District. Participants are placed on teams by grade and school.  Teams will practice twice a week and play 6 games on local BSD fields.

Practices are held on weeknights and begin the week of September 16. Practice nights are based on volunteer coach scheduling. Parents will be contacted after the coaches meeting held in early September. 

Games will be played on Saturdays and begin Saturday, September 28-November 2. Some double header games will be played.

K-2nd grade is a passing league with the coach as quarterback.  There are only pass plays in this league.

3rd-6th grade flag football involves run and passing plays with player quarterbacks.

COST:  (K-2nd)- $60 (3rd-6th)- $70 

REGISTRATION DEADLINE:  AUGUST 18

IMPORTANT: Please make every effort to register by the registration deadline.  Late registration may result in the player not playing with their school or possibly not playing at all.  To register late: (after AUG 18) you must sign up on the wait list and placement is not guaranteed. A late fee of $10 will be issued after the registration deadline.

  • Can special team requests be made?: No, there are no special requests. Participants are placed on teams by their grade and by their school. If there are not enough players from one school, schools will be combined.
  • When will practices start?: Practices begin the week of Sept. 16th and are set up by the coach. If you have not heard from a coach by Friday, September 13 call your coordinator.
  • When and where are games held?: All games will be played at Bethel School District fields. Each team will be scheduled 6 games. Games will begin Saturday Sept. 28 through Nov. 2.
  • What equipment do players need to have?: Players will need to wear tennis shoes or cleats. Cleats are recommended. Players will need to wear and provide their own mouth guards. No Jeans.
  • What do the players wear for uniforms?: All players must wear the Bethel Rec. issued t-shirts. Shirts will be available by the first game unless you registered late. No jeans.
  • Are there going to be team pictures?: It is up to each coach to schedule their own team pictures with our photographer. Bethel Rec. team picture dates: TBD.

  • What do we do if we need a refund?: All refund requests must be submitted by 3:00PM on Sept 27 on the on-line request form on our website at bethelrec.org. There will be a $10 administrative fee for all refunds.
